Brow Shaping
At Brows by Cat, we don’t just wax—we sculpt. Using your preferences and facial features as a guide, we create the perfect brow shape with a meticulous brow mapping process.
Each client is unique, which is why consultations are essential. After mapping, waxing, and tweezing, we enhance your brows with a light pencil fill-in and concealer for a flawless finish.

The timing for your next appointment depends on your natural brow growth cycle. For faster-growing brows, a shape-up is recommended every 2 - 4 weeks. For slower growth, appointments can be scheduled every 4 - 8 weeks.

While patch tests aren’t typically required for eyebrow waxing, allergic reactions can occasionally occur. Symptoms may include redness, bumps, or blisters. If you have a known allergy to waxing, let us know in advance—we can shape your brows using tweezers and a razor instead.

To ensure the best results and prevent skin irritation:
• Avoid trimming or plucking your brows for at least 48 hours before your appointment.
• Refrain from using products containing AHAs or BHAs within 48 hours of your visit.
• Stop using prescription retinoids or acne medications at least one week before waxing, as they can increase the risk of skin lifting.
• If you are on Accutane or have a severe medical condition, waxing is NOT recommended. Please inform us if any of these conditions apply, and we will shape your brows with a razor and tweezers instead.

To ensure your brows heal properly and look their best after waxing, follow these aftercare tips:
• Avoid touching the waxed area for 24 hours unless your hands are clean to prevent irritation or infection.
• Refrain from applying heavy makeup on or around the brows for at least 24 hours.
• Avoid using retinol, chemical exfoliants, or physical exfoliants for 24 hours to prevent skin irritation.
• Stay out of tanning beds and avoid direct sun exposure for 24 hours post-appointment.
• If you experience a wax burn or skin abrasion, apply a thin layer of Vaseline or Aquaphor to the affected area for the first 24 hours. This will help the skin heal and prevent scabbing.
